✦ Est. 1994 · Zürich Altstadt
Handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza, and three decades of warm Italian hospitality — right in the heart of Zürich.
Our Story
Ristorante Fontana opened its doors in 1994, when Marco and Elena Conti brought their grandmother's recipes from Emilia-Romagna to Zürich's Niederdorf quarter. What started as a 12-table trattoria is now one of the city's most beloved Italian institutions.
We make everything from scratch. Our pasta dough is rolled each morning, our sauces simmer for hours, and our wood-fired oven — imported from Naples in 2001 — runs at 450 °C for the crispiest, most authentic pizza in Switzerland.
No shortcuts. No compromises. Just food that tastes exactly like it should.
